New York has many places to visit, The Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and the most famous Central Park. Central Park of New York attracts 25 million visitors every year to enjoy its hills, lakes and meadow away from the crammed full city.
Center Park is a landscaped park with area measuring 843 acres the park is located in the centre of Manhattan. The park contains many attractions such as natural lakes, walking trails, a wildlife sanctuary, a large open area devoted to sporting pursuits, two ice-skating rinks and many playgrounds for children. You will find more than 500,000 trees and shrubs in central park, 52 fountains, monuments and sculptures and 9,000 benches for rest. Being the only open area for miles across the Manhattan you will find a colorful array of skaters, cyclists and joggers.
Children can fun in the playgrounds and they can also get knowledge by the discovery centers, and workshops. You can also have a meal in one of the parks restaurants such as the Tavern on the Green, an extremely famous restaurant that has been featured in many films like Wall Street and Ghostbusters. You can also watch a concert which is held on specific days.
Many famous music artists from Simon and Garfunkel and Dave Matthews Band have performed concerts in central park and for the sports category many professional races are run in and through the park, including sections of the New York Marathon.

More than 817 acres of the park was burned in a devastating fire, destroying the bird sanctuary. The park was repaired and restored with some areas still closed for public.
Millennium Park has a Cycle Center which is a heated and air conditioned indoor bicycle parking facility built by the city of Chicago and now sponsored by McDonald's hence now named as McDonald's Cycle Center.
The Botanical Building is one of the largest wood lath structures in the world. It has many tropical plants and exotic seasonal flowers in this lovely space. A Lily pond is situated to the south of this building.
