The Greek Theatre is premiere outdoor theatre with 5,700-seat located at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. It was opened on September 29, 1929 which is owned by the City of Los Angeles, and is managed, operated and promoted by Nederlander-Greek Inc.
The Theatre’s stage is modeled after a Greek temple. It is amphitheater with a beautiful tree-enclosed setting of Griffith Park. The Greek Theatre is one of the most historic entertainment venues in Los Angeles. The theatre offers a state-of-the-art acoustics combined with excellent site lines. It is an award winning theatre, which has played host to some of the biggest names in entertainment, from pop to classical, reggae to rock.
A wide variety of artists such as Josh Groban, The Who, Sting, Alicia Keys, Pearl Jam, Jose Carerras, Marc Anthony, Tina Turner, Elton John, Santana, The White Stripes, The Gipsy Kings, the Russian National Ballet have performed at the theater.
Pollstar Magazine, the industries leading trade publication has awarded “The Greek Theatre” the prestigious Best Small Outdoor Venue award several times. The Greek Theatre is used for concerts, stage shows, and graduation ceremonies for Thomas Starr King Middle School and John Marshall High School, and similarly many other events are held in this theater.

More than 817 acres of the park was burned in a devastating fire, destroying the bird sanctuary. The park was repaired and restored with some areas still closed for public.
Millennium Park has a Cycle Center which is a heated and air conditioned indoor bicycle parking facility built by the city of Chicago and now sponsored by McDonald's hence now named as McDonald's Cycle Center.
The Botanical Building is one of the largest wood lath structures in the world. It has many tropical plants and exotic seasonal flowers in this lovely space. A Lily pond is situated to the south of this building.
